Welcome to Queen's Soul Food, a delightful soul food restaurant nestled in the heart of Charlotte, NC. If you’re craving a taste of authentic Southern cooking, this is the place to be. The moment you step inside, you'll feel the warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you think of Sunday dinners at Grandma's house.

Queen's Soul Food specializes in comforting dishes that evoke a nostalgic sense of home. Their menu features a variety of mouthwatering options, proudly offering dishes like Oxtail with 3 sides, a cherished staple that delivers an explosion of flavor in every bite. If you’re in the mood for something lighter, consider the Large Veggie Plate, which allows you to choose four sides and is accompanied by a generous piece of cornbread or roll, all for just US$13.99.

The sides are equally enticing; imagine a plate filled with Collard Greens, Mac N Cheese, and Fried Okra, each for only US$4.25. These side dishes are prepared with love and tradition, ensuring they stand out as the perfect complement to your meal. However, while some customers like Shae Oneil praise the food as "hot and ready to order," others have mentioned room for improvement in seasoning, particularly with dishes like Fried Chicken.

With options for almost every palate, you can easily find something that will charm your taste buds. The 20 Piece Chicken Dinner is a favorite among families, making it an excellent choice for gatherings or celebrations. Priced at US$69.60, it gives you 20 pieces of crispy chicken alongside three hearty sides and rolls or cornbread, perfect for sharing.

As you indulge in the flavorful dishes, you might feel like you’re at a family gathering rather than a restaurant. The staff at Queen's Soul Food are known for their friendly service, even if there may be a language barrier. Customers often mention their helpfulness and warm demeanor, which add a personal touch to your dining experience.

Whether you're a Charlotte local or just visiting, Queen's Soul Food not only serves delightful dishes but also embodies the essence of soul food: community, warmth, and heart. Make sure to visit soon and satisfy your cravings with their incredible offerings. Don't forget to try the Banana Pudding—it may not be to everyone's taste, but it’s worth a shot!

Baked Chicken and Mac-n-Cheese. Good backup when grandmama’s house is out of state.

I must apologize, because I forgot the chef's name. However, the oxtail was fantastic. The chef was extremely friendly and helpful in helping us with our order. Will definitely go back. I really love this place. And by the way, the prices were great.

I saw Mr. Chimetime review and honestly he might have been dramatic. The food is hot and ready to order. Nothing was disappointing but the banana pudding they can really take that off the shelf. As a woman from the south who grew up on this kind of food it really wasn’t bad at all!! The service is good they don’t speak much English but they were nice and were trying. It’s clean, organized, classic options, & dessert options are plentiful and they are quick no waiting around in long lines. Prices are very reasonable unlike other places in the area. It’s just an old school spot I can’t be mad at it. I got 2fried pieces of chicken, rice&gravy, mac$cheese, cornbread,& a drink combo for $12 I’m rooting for this establishment!!!! And recommend this little hidden gem.

We wanted to try some place new. Typically the " hole in the wall" spots have the best food. We ordered three plates, the price was perfect $13 which included meal and drink. Portions were perfect, food was good but beans had no flavor and fried chicken had no seasoning and was extremely dry. To have to salt my food after its cooked is not cool especially for a " soul food " restaurant. We also chose to takeout instead of dine in because the inside needs renovations. Hopefully this review helps them improve. We're taking our business back to Nana morrisons which is THE BEST in Charlotte.
